Favorite Book:  I do not really have a favorite book but I love British and Scandinavian mysteries. I just finished reading a book of essays by my favorite Swedish mystery author, Henning Mankell called Quicksand: What it Means to be a Human Being.  It is a moving and poignant collection of essays and reflections he wrote during the last few years of his life as he struggled with lung cancer.

A much loved work of fiction is The Bone People, by Keri Hulme.
